From my bench I watch
The world pass me by
As I take a sip of my tea
Trains dance on their tracks
And stop like an afterthought
Casually spilling out passengers
Onto the platform, colorful rushes
Then they groan as they move
Like bones in an old woman's body
I drink my tea and smile at myself
Moments like this are my life
Sitting still as the world moves
Calm in its center, eyes observing
