I want to be raw, open
Vulnerable in my every move
Heart open to share
Love in every word

I want my poetry
To make me cry
To make me feel my words
Even years after writing

I long to be open
To wear my wounds
On the outside of my skin
As armor of love

And I yearn most of all
To be pure love
To share that vibration
With whomever needs it

And yet, I feel small
Deeply insignificant
How can I be love
When I don't feel it?

Maybe it is in this poem
The answer that I seek
Maybe it is in these words
The connection I crave is alive
